Useful Data
NECESSARY DOCUMENTATION
Before heading to the airport it is always necessary to review the documentation to avoid headaches later.
In addition to the ticket or boarding pass or reservation copy, and the money and cards, check the appropriate personal identification documentation for the trip you are going to make.
On domestic flights and in certain areas of agreement between neighboring or regional countries, a D.N.I. is sufficient. For other international flights you must have a passport, visa and a ticket to return or leave the country (if you do not have a return ticket, they will not let you board). In certain countries, they require the presentation of other documents to enter their territory, such as vaccination and health certificates or letters of invitation or registration.
In case of doubts, or if you are traveling to a country with a particular political situation, we recommend that you consult with us about what documents you will need.
The lack of the documentation required for the destination may cause denied boarding.
BOARDING TIME
The flight acceptance deadline is the minimum time before the scheduled departure time, so that the passenger can enter, have their luggage ready, go through the security checks area and be already in the boarding area.
The airlines, nor CTM, incur any responsibility for the non-acceptance of the passenger when he or she appears in the security area, after the boarding limit time.
The passenger must appear at the check-in counters with the advance notice previously indicated by the airline, and if there is no indication, at least 1.30 hours (for domestic flights) before the flight time, and from 2 to 2.30 for international flights.
Due to increased security controls at airports, some airlines may establish other limits for boarding, so it is important that they inform you well in advance.
Take into account possible queues at check-in counters, as well as queues at security checkpoints, especially during high season periods.
Calculate additional time for city-airport transportation, taking into account possible difficulties in accessing it.
For security reasons, there may be more frequent and exhaustive controls at airports, both for passengers and for your carry-on or checked luggage, so it is advisable to always have your boarding pass and passport on hand, and always respect boarding times. established by the company.
TRAVEL CHILDREN
If there is a minor passenger traveling alone, you must make sure to present authorization from parents or guardians before embarking on the trip abroad.
Children need space. Ideally, you should reserve seats in the front row: in addition to being more spacious, it is also more practical for getting on and off the plane.
In crowded places always wear children in easily recognizable clothing.
On long plane or car trips, take the child's favorite toys.
Make sure when choosing the hotel where you will have a plan of activities for children.
CASH
For the vast majority of your journey you will use local currency. It is better to carry euros, preferably in small bills.
It is never advisable to change at airports due to tax collection. The hotel is a good point to make the necessary change. The exchange houses recommended by the guide are where you can get the best price. Make sure you have enough money for emergencies. Always include extra money in your budget for unforeseen events
HEALTH
If you are undergoing treatment, do not forget your medications and take the original package insert for all of them, so that if you run out, you can purchase new ones, with the same composition as those you normally use.
A small first aid kit with essential things never hurts. Tape, aspirin, antihistamines, take up little space in the suitcase and never come in handy.
